Val d’Isère -
One of the finest ski resorts in the world

Val d’Isère remains a firm favourite with British visitors and is regarded by many as the world’s greatest ski resort.

The huge expanse of Espace Killy comprising Val d’Isère and neighbouring Tignes is the highest extended ski terrain in the world with most skiing above 2300m.

Val d’Isère has an unrivalled snow record and conditions normally facilitate good skiing right to the end of the season which tends to be as late as early May.

The resort is a top destination with a vibrant and lively atmosphere. The village stretches along the road from purpose built La Daille to Le Fornet.

Val d’Isère was home to the World Championships in February 2009 with the men’s & womens races taking place on the Bellevarde (right in front of our Chalet Chamois d'Or) and Solaise slopes.

The resort’s free bus service runs with excellent efficiency every few minutes during the day from one end of resort to the other.

Apres ski can kick off on the slopes with live music at the Folie Douce above La Daille or ski into the resort centre for a drink in one of the many bars.

In town there is a large and varied choice of restaurants, bars and clubs for those with the energy.

Alternatively make use of the brand new Leisure Centre with two pools, climbing area, multi activity sports hall, fitness suite, gym, squash court or simply chill out in the Wellness Zone and enjoy a session in the sauna or spa!
