We are delighted to let our guests know that one of Val d’Isère’s most iconic ski lifts – the Téléski des 3000 – will be opening again for the coming 2018/19 ski season.
The lift – located between the Solaise and Fornet sectors of the ski area – has been been closed for the past six years, but has now been renovated.
Up to an altitude of 2960m
Possibly it should be called the ‘Téléski des 2960’ as it goes up to 2960m, but what’s a few metres of rounding between friends?
What it does mean is that it will provide access to great views and two challenging black runs from the Leissières ridge that runs between from the Pissaillas glacier in the Fornet zone.
Please note – the 76% slope here is only suitable for accomplished skiers as it’s not just steep, but piste bashers will hardly ever visit this area, meaning that while you have pistes, it’s almost a pure freeride area.
