St Anton -
Austria's premier ski resort

St. Anton is one of the finest Alpine ski resorts in the world and is considered among the top five as one of any skiers 'Must ski!' resorts.

In the heart of the Arlberg region, the ski area encompasses the neighbouring resorts of Stuben, St. Christoph, Lech, Zurs and the lesser known Sonnenkopf.

St. Anton shaped the history of modern skiing when in 1921 the great Hannes Schneider opened his Arlberg Ski School on the slopes below Galzig. St Anton has some of the most consistently challenging and extensive slopes in the Alps and the apres ski to match.

In winter 2016/17, the Flexenbahn cableway linked between Zurs and Stuben/Rauz meaning the Arlberg area has becomes the largest continuous ski area in Austria with 305km of downhill slopes and 87 lifts/cableways.

The lively village is a blend of old and new but has successfully retained its Tyrolean charm and character.

There is a pedestrian-friendly centre offering a good choice of boutiques and some fine old hostelries and modern bars to suit a wide range of taste and budget.

St. Anton’s Wellness Centre houses indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, steam rooms, solarium and a variety of massage and treatments.

St Anton Life

Apres ski is legendary and begins on the main run down to the resort centre with the infamous Mooserwirt, Krazy Kangaruh and Taps offering loud music and much drinking and dancing for party animals.

Be warned - you still have to get back down the slopes afterwards! There are also numerous après ski haunts in the village itself.

We have a great collection of chalets spread throughout resort, but with a good local free bus service and taxis being so readily available at all times (and very reasonably priced!), access to the slopes and resort centre from any of them is very easy regardless of location
